I'm new to saltwater fishing and it was my largest to date on the day that it was caught. You can probably see that from the smile on my face.

The fish was 5.5 pounds and about 22.5 inches long. Summer flounder are a predatory flounder and will aggressively attack jigs baited with squid, silversides, mummichogs, or other type of bait. They are beautifully camouflaged to blend into their bottom habitat.
