Although I am not a member
as of yet, I remember my first fishing trip and have taught my daughter
the joy of fishing as well!
Above is a photo of her very first fish caught at Irvine Lake,
California in 1992 along with a more recent photo of her at
the same lake...she is now 18! In fact, I think that it is almost
the same spot of the lake in both photos.
I am very happy to submit these photos as I think that it shows
that not only can girls fish, but that it becomes a lifelong hobby that
will definitely be passed on from generation to generation! As she has
gotten older, I find that fishing really gives a family time to bond
and communicate, even through the difficult adolescent years!
Here are the catch specifics.
"First fish" - Irvine Lake, California, freshwater, Crappie (4", <1 lb), caught on Berkely corn flavored Powerbait on treble hook. "Still fishing" - Irvine Lake, California, freshwater, Crappie (4".
<1 lb), caught on Berkley chartreuse flavored Powerbait on treble
hook.
