Fishing Location: Columbia River

Here is a photo of my wife with a nice Coho (Silver) salmon she caught during the 2005 "Buoy 10" fishery at the mouth of the Columbia River, near Astoria, OR.  The fish was caught on a Mortac spinner, and weighed-in at just-under 12-lbs.  "Lady Luck" was on her side, as she was the only one to catch a fish that day aboard our boat.  As you can see, she's wearing one of our inflatable life vests.  We have a "fishing" set, and a "cruising" set of vests, so the nicer ones don't get "fishy."  Whenever the boat's in motion, the vests are worn.  Knock on wood, we havn't "needed" them yet.
