James Mitchell of Caryville, Florida reeled in a massive 64.5 lb Blue Cat during a "Fisherman For The Hungry" tournament in July 2008, setting a new all-time record in the state.

The fish measured 53.5 inches long and three feet around its body.

The fish was weighed under the watchful eyes of two Dept. of Natural Resources officers and a Marine Biologist on certified scales.

This breaks the long standing record set in 1980.
